The
Hocking Hills Region encompasses a large section of
southeastern Ohio. It is known for its wilderness areas-
Ohio State Parks, Forests and Wildlife areas and Wayne
National Forest. One of the best known parks - Hocking Hills
State Park is only a short distance from Deer Ridge Cabin
and Lake.
Hocking Hills State Park is made up
of 6 different hiking areas:
Old
Man's Cave - Recess cave with
waterfalls, unique bridges and cliffs.
Ash Cave -
One of the largest
recess caves in Ohio.
Cedar
Falls - A beautiful waterfall,
hemlock-lined trails and unique
rock formations.
Cantwell Cliffs - Rock
formations, meandering trails and wonderful display of
wildflowers in spring.
Conkle's Hollow - Two trails - an upper
and lower. Handicap accessible.
Rock
House - Cathedral-like rock opening
closest to a true cave in the Hocking
Hills.
